At PTC, we strive for excellence in environmental stewardship by making environmental sustainability a top priority across the company. This World Environment Day, we’re highlighting our company-wide efforts to be good citizens of the world and make changes towards becoming a better planet.
For the third year in a row, the PTC team in Switzerland volunteered their time to give back to the environment by partnering with Almighty Tree to plant 100 trees. Over the last three years, the team of 40 colleagues has planted nearly 400 trees.
The team’s efforts, in collaboration with local foresters, focused on a planting location that had been heavily impacted by bark beetle infestations, which have a direct link to climate change. To restore the lost trees, the team planted more resistant species such as Oak, Maple, and Tilia that are stronger to withstand various stress factors such as pests and drought.
The estimation is that in Switzerland, 90 percent of the existing trees (mostly monocultures of spruces) won’t be able to survive these environmental challenges, hence the need to plant more resilient trees to ensure a greener future.

In October 2024, the PTC Iberia Team (Spain and Portugal) organized a teambuilding event and planted trees in Spain. In partnership with Bosquia, a local environmental vendor, the team planted 16 trees, with the hope that there will be many more in the future. The species of trees planted, Aleppo pine and stone pine, are native to the area.
Both teams are proud to have contributed to creating a sustainable environment for the future of our planet and generations to come.
In addition to our local teams’ efforts, we plant 15 new trees for each new hire that joins PTC in the country in which they had been hired. In 2025 so far, PTC has planted 697 trees in the following regions:
- In EMEA / APAC, we have planted 166 trees
- In LATAM, we have planted 94 trees
- In US & Canada, we have planted 437 trees
