Davor

EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) & APAC (Asia-Pacific)

Davor is a patient engagement associate director in charge of the CEE, CIS and MEAT regions. In his role he works with the Duchenne muscular dystrophy, AADC deficiency and umbrella rare disease patient organisations and communities.

Davor previously worked for EURORDIS- Rare Diseases Europe and the National Alliance for Rare Diseases of Serbia, covering several roles and responsibilities from policy and advocacy initiatives to event organisation and web technologies. This included supporting patient organisations develop and build their capacities, as well as directly supporting families affected by a rare disease.

Davor’s personal life is also directly linked to rare diseases since his son was diagnosed with a rare metabolic disorder in 2012. This led him down the path of facing the sheer complexity and diversity of rare diseases, the challenges and the opportunities in advocating for access to treatment and necessary care. He strongly believes in the power of community, peer support and best practise sharing.

Originally from Serbia, Davor currently lives in Paris, France. He speaks English, French, Russian and Serbian.
