PTC strategic alliances include:

 


CV Therapeutics
— Exclusive research collaboration and licensing arrangement for the development of orally bioavailable small molecules through the application of PTC's proprietary GEMS (Gene Expression Modulation by Small-molecules) technology.

 


Cystic Fibrosis Foundation
— A grant for up to $25 million in support of key Phase 2b clinical trials for PTC124 in nonsense mutation cystic fibrosis.




 


Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA)
— $1.5 million grant to support the development of PTC124 for the treatment of nonsense mutation Duchenne muscular dystrophy.

 


Parent Project Muscular Dystrophy (PPMD)
— Support for preclinical development of PTC124 for the treatment of nonsense mutation Duchenne muscular dystrophy (DMD) and a collaboration to discover new drugs to treat DMD called Project Catalyst.


 


Pfizer Inc.
- An exclusive research collaboration and licensing agreement for the development of pharmaceuticals through the application of PTC’s GEMS (Gene Expression Modulation by Small-molecules) technology.


Schering-Plough Corporation —
$200 million collaboration for the development and commercialization of the compounds in the hepatitis C program.

 


Spinal Muscular Atrophy Foundation
— $1.6 million grant to support discovery of new treatments for spinal muscular atrophy.
